Dr. Axelbank has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at UNC Chapel Hill since 1983. From 1994 to 2004, he was the clerkship course director for the 3rd year medical students. He received a Community Faculty Teacher of Students Award from the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians in 1990.
